---- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ----

Coupelles : Polycarbonate
Bras de l'anénomètre : aluminium anodisé noir

In our project, we need to predict methane emission from lakes since it is a potent greenhouse gas. But to do that, we need to understand lake hydrodynamics first (e.g. water temperature, stratification patterns etc.). Wind has a strong effect on lake hydrodynamics and, therefore, it would be fundamental to get high frequency data on wind speed on the lake we study hence this type of kit is providing us with the valuable data. The lake I study is located in an agricultural area so no major obstacles (i.e. trees) will affect the wind speed.

Windcrane Max system is working as we hoped. We got all the information including the wind direction we needed for our snowmaking system. We had a very cold condition with wind and snow, but it worked very well. Also, the PV panel works very well.

Q: Dear,I have bought the kit Pro-D+Wind Logger.I want to use our own DAQ system for live reading, for that I would need more information regarding the output signal of both sensors (vane anda anemometer). For example, output range V, sensitivity, calibration values.Thank you in advance.João OliveiraBosch Car Multimedia Portugal SA

A: You can find details of the anemometer here: https://www.windlogger.co.uk/collections/sensors/products/pro-d-anemometer and also you can connect to the WINDLogger via serial port, which will provide the data ready for consumption in ASCII format
